Twisted T90 V8 Automatic – British Racing Green

Understated luxury with wicked performance are at the heart of this T90. With seating for four and lashings of Scottish leather, the whole family can enjoy the adventure wherever you decide to use it. Having been fully stripped and rebuilt from the ground up and painted panel by panel in British racing green it is both eye catching and subtle in equal measure. A juxtaposition maybe, but that’s what makes a Twisted. In its first life this Defender had covered 114,000 miles but following our build and every component being replaced or re-worked, at the owners request it now shows its mileage since conversion of 7,734.

Although boasting 430hp from our 6.2l LS3 V8, this is not just all about raw power or straight line speed. This T90 has had the chassis braced, the driveline extensively upgraded and rides on our progressive suspension system meaning it can handle everything you want to throw at it, both on and off the road. The six speed automatic transmission also means you can enjoy the drive, sit back and take in the beautiful notes from the stainless exhaust.

The interior is beautifully crafted in hand finished leather with contrast stitch detail and colour coded seatbelts. The Twisted Recaro seats are heated and are specially modified to have removable bases enabling battery and fuse box access without the need to carry any tools. Having begun life as a very late plate Defender 90 hard top, this has been converted to a station wagon with side windows along with the rear cabin now boasting two fully trimmed forward facing lock and fold seats along with a reduced height bulkhead. Media is provided by way of our double din conversion giving you Apply CarPlay, Sat Nav, DAB radio and a reverse camera all paired with our premium 8 channel audio system. This has all be specially curated to work with Defender acoustics and our extensive soundproofing fitted to every panel.

The exterior has been enhanced with our usual attention and benefits from LED lighting all round, our stage one front end conversion and tubular step bumper and wheel carrier. The only nod to anything anti-ordinary is the unleaded fuel plaque that sits beneath the filler cap. Our 18″ Classic alloy wheels not only look great but due to their offset give this T90 a smaller turning circle than standard all adding to its appeal.
