Who is Twisted?

Twisted was founded in Yorkshire, England, in 2000. Our soul has never changed. From classic British vehicles, we create one-of-a-kind builds. Icons, made even more iconic. Turning a respect for what once was into a vision of what could be.

What do you do?

We do what we love. We don’t do what’s expected. We don’t do what’s easy. We don’t do mass-production. Every build is bespoke. Every commission created alongside its owner. Currently, the US line-up is the fully re-engineered classic Land Rover Defender® and the Range Rover Classic® (TRRC).

Brand-new vehicles or restorations?

It’s not that simple. Every Twisted starts with a legally registered donor chassis. This is stripped back to its bare bones. Every mm inspected and perfected. If it can be improved, it is, down to the marine-grade stainless steel nuts and bolts of it. Aluminium body panels aligned. Shell waterproofed and soundproofed. Interior refitted. Suspension, braking, and drivetrain systems re-engineered. 2000+ hours later, it’s ready.

What are the engine options in the US?

Both traditionalist and high-performance drivers are catered for. There’s an efficient, refined 2.3-litre turbocharged petrol powertrain option or our modern, US-emission-compliant 500HP GM LT1 V8 powertrain, mated to an advanced automatic transmission.

So how does Twisted operate in the United States?

In North America. Twisted operates as a direct, factory-owned entity. No middleman. No confusion. So every build, every transaction, every relationship meets the exacting standards we are known for.

What is the typical investment?

Nothing we do is typical. But as a guideline, our T90 TVS starts at $375,000. Twisted is about your vision. How you’ll use your vehicle will influence the choice of engine, material spec and custom extras, and therefore the cost. Still got questions? Where can I test-drive a Twisted in the US?

How do I secure a build slot?

What’s the build timeline?

No mass-production means no single build time. Your build timeline is unique to your specific commission. Once we know what we’re creating, with the specifications and design scope finalised, then you get the production estimate.
