I’m Vicki, keeping things running smoothly at Twisted since July 2021. Here’s a secret: I’m a closet plane spotter who can often be found near airports watching takeoffs and landings! My Twisted dream machine is a TV8 90 in Welsh Grey. My most memorable Twisted moment was zooming across the sea in a Twisted craft – pure freedom! If we’re road-tripping together, Florence & The Machine will be our soundtrack, and if I could choose anyone for a day trip, it would be Diane Morgan for her brilliant sense of humour.

I’m Helene, officially joining the Twisted team in 2024 to handle front of house and merchandise. I’m pretty much an open book – what you see is what you get! My current Twisted crush is the willow green lightweight. The Yorkshire 300 in 2024 has been my highlight so far – what an incredible experience! When I’m on the road, you’ll hear 90s club classics pumping from my speakers. Oh, and one thing’s for sure – I definitely wouldn’t take my little brother on a day trip!

I’m Hayley, keeping Twisted’s finances in check since July 2020. What you might not know about me is I’m a complete adrenaline junky! My dream Twisted would be a bright blue T90 with black Nappa leather trim and blue stitching – style and substance! If I could choose my day trip companions, I’d pick The Rock and James Blunt (what a combo!). My Twisted experience has been amazing – every day brings something that astounds me. For road trips, I’m jamming to a mix of 80s, 90s, and 00s hits!

I’m Steph, and I’ve been keeping Twisted’s books in order since 2017 (this time around!). When I’m not crunching numbers, you’ll find me baking and decorating cakes – a little-known talent of mine! My dream ride is a sleek black 110 with black leather interior and black wheels. The Monaco journey with those breathtaking views has been my absolute highlight at Twisted so far. If you’re ever on a road trip with me, expect The Smiths and Queen blasting through the speakers!

I’m Karrie, keeping track of all things parts-related since August 2020. My quirky confession? I have a complete obsession with anything miniature! My favorite Twisted part has to be the Yorkshire plaque, and my dream vehicle would be a Twisted Lightweight 90 in Willow Green. My best Twisted memory was realizing I work with a phenomenal team who are passionate, supportive, and go above and beyond. My road trip playlist is eclectic – everything from Benny Benassi and Metallica to Miley Cyrus and the Dirty Dancing soundtrack!

I’m James! I’ve been a tech at Twisted since February 2020, currently working on a South African 50th Anniversary Edition. In my spare time, I run my own miniature garden railway – it’s my pride and joy! My perfect Twisted would be a V8 130, perfect for mountain bike carrying duties. The Yorkshire 300 driving events have been my standout Twisted moments. When I’m on the road, Barenaked Ladies are my go-to soundtrack, and I’d take my mate Big Gaz on any day trip.

I’m Owen! My Twisted journey started with a placement in 2011-2012, then I returned in 2013 after finishing university. My biggest Twisted claim to fame? I met my wife Sara right here at Twisted! For my perfect vehicle, I’d choose a TVS auto 110 Utility – perfect for family adventures with plenty of storage. After being here so long, my standout moment was carrying out the first road test in the initial TV8 build with LT1 engine – seeing all that hard work come together was incredible. On road trips, you’ll find me listening to crime thrillers on Audible.

I’m Adam, making Twisted vehicles shine since March 2021! Here’s something not many know – I share the same birthday as my wife (what are the odds?). My dream Twisted would be a matt black V8 90 with fully Twisted interior featuring tanned Recaro seats, dark grey dash, and contrasting tanned stitching – details matter in my line of work! My most memorable Twisted moment? In my first couple of weeks, I forgot to take Charlie to TOC and left him stranded at the factory – he ended up walking! Sorry, Charlie! When I’m cruising, liquid drum and bass is my jam, and I’d take Danny Dyer on a day trip – proper legend!

HISTORY
Twisted, founded in Yorkshire England in 2000 when it introduced its first Land Rover specific performance parts. The first entirely Twisted TD5 90 demo vehicle hit the road in 2003 and the creation of the first Twisted 110 occurred in 2004.
Customer customization began in 2005, with subsequent growth through custom client vehicles and strong parts sales. In 2009, Twisted produced a record number of vehicles, solidifying its association with the iconic Defender.
R&D focus and a logo rebrand followed in 2010 with the introduction of four new vehicle specs. The first Twisted LS-powered V8 debuted in 2012, with further R&D investment continuing in 2013, focusing on audio, suspension, and braking development.
By 2016, Twisted owned the largest stockpile of “Last of Line” undriven Defender.
The North Yorkshire Showroom opened in 2020, London & Salcombe Marine Showroom in 2021, and in 2022, the R&D team developed the TV8 and TVS engines.
In 2023, a global brand deal and a Japan license agreement were signed, with the launch of the Twisted Suzuki TJ. In 2024, the brand aims to officially launch in Japan and the USA while focusing on resto-mod production for manufacturing status.

I grew up immersed in the world of Land Rover and 4×4s, testing their limits and understanding their flaws. When the opportunity arose, I transformed my passion into a vision for Twisted, aiming to elevate Defenders to unprecedented levels of prestige, quality, and mechanical excellence—creating a market where comfort, power, and heritage coexist.

Uncovering handwritten messages from previous engineers’, and restoring the theatre screen, the premises embodies Twisted’s commitment to “Remake History.” Curated with apparel, boutique beauty products, and exceptional vehicles, it invites visitors to immerse themselves in the Twisted lifestyle.
