TWISTED APPROVED DEFENDER 90 LS3 V8 FIRENZE RED

Here at The Old Cinema Thirsk, we are delighted to offer this Firenze Red 90. Originally sold brand new by Twisted in late 2006, this TD5 90 started life as a Java Black County Station Wagon has been loved from the outset and upgraded throughout its ownership. Having been owned for 19 years by it’s one and only private owner, this Firenze Red, Twisted converted LS3 V8 90 is now available for sale.

Under the bonnet is a 6.2l, General Motors LS3 Petrol engine producing 430bhp through a 6 speed automatic, converted by Twisted. This dramatically changes the day to day drive, allowing it to overtake and sit at motorway speeds with ease and in the country roads, you can unleash the power. Running on a Twisted progressive suspension system also means that the handling is more predictable, more responsive and also more comfortable thanks to the dual rate springs, custom damped shock absorbers and upgraded anti roll bars. Finally stopping power has also been taken care of with 6 piston performance front brakes and 4 piston rear brakes.

The interior benefits from Black Nappa leather trimmed auto console paired with heated Recaro front seats finished in half leather/half Alcantara. Benefiting from premium carpet throughout, the interior of this 90 remains true to the TD5 era, with modern touches such as an electronic handbrake & lockable storage box in the rear. Optional rear seats can be fitted upon request.

This 90 underwent a full external respray from Java Black to Firenze Red in 2014, retaining the Java Black Roof. Externally the Twisted Sport 18″ wheels are the most obvious change boasting a wider offset to fill the arches and improve turning circle. The front end is fitted with an age appropriate KBX grille in Gloss Black, with chequer plate fitted to both front wings & side sills.

Accompanying the vehicle is a folder of its life’s history, including a print out of the original advert from 2006. This also includes all MOT certificates, service history and records of any modifications carried out over the years. No expense has been spared over its life.
