The Defender has always been a remarkable canvas – rugged, capable, honest. However, for some enthusiasts, ‘remarkable’ isn’t enough when considering the changes in the Twisted Defender. They seek something beyond capable. Something personal. Something extraordinary. This is where our journey in the evolution of the Twisted Defender begins.

The Transformation Process

Over two decades, we’ve learned every nuance, every strength, and furthermore, every flaw of these machines. Our knowledge, earned through thousands of hours of hands-on development, doesn’t just improve the Defender – it holds a significant role in the evolution of the Twisted Defender.

For this 2015 T110, the metamorphosis began as it always does – with respect for the Twisted Defender’s past and vision for what could be. Chris Aldred, our lead technician, initially started by stripping everything back to bare metal. Subsequently, the build consumed 685 workshop hours and 316 paint shop hours. Each minute purposeful, each decision deliberate in this evolving process.

Engineering Excellence

The chassis plays a key role in the evolution of the Twisted Defender. New engine mounts cradle a TV8 6.2L naturally aspirated heart, therefore offering 460bhp of quiet confidence. An 8-speed automatic transmission translates this power into smooth, assured progress. Additionally, progressive suspension, polybushes, and enhanced driveline components don’t just handle the power – they refine it through evolution.

Distinctive Aesthetics

In our in-house paint shop, metal becomes art. The Satin Bahama Gold finish isn’t just applied – it’s meticulously crafted. Wide wheel arches extend the form, while meticulous panel alignment creates seamless harmony. This isn’t about standing out; rather, it’s about standing apart, showcasing the evolution.

Interior Craftsmanship

Inside, Middleham Tan leather with Poppy Red stitching tells a story of tradition embracing modernity. The double panoramic roof opens to the sky, while teak flooring grounds the experience in natural luxury. Modern conveniences – touchscreen interface, premium audio, second-row climate control – serve rather than dominate, consequently embodying the car’s evolutionary journey.

Quality Assurance

A Twisted isn’t born in the final assembly, instead, it’s born in the 500 test miles that follow. In the week spent in our detailing bay. In the eyes of the craftspeople who know that good enough never is in the evolution process.
